Summary

Soundtrail Support Bot is open-source software you host yourself. When you self-host an instance, you are the operator responsible for bot configuration, Discord permissions, ticket handling, and local transcript retention.

1. Scope

These terms govern your use of the Soundtrail Support Bot software repository and any instance maintained by mob5824. Third-party self-hosted instances are run under their respective administrators' policies.

2. Operator responsibilities

The operator of an instance controls the hosting machine, the bot token, administrative credentials, the SQLite database, and the web dashboard access tokens.

3. Support tickets & transcripts

Support ticket channels capture communications between members and staff. When a ticket closes, transcripts are compiled and retained according to the server's configured retention settings (1 to 3,650 days, or indefinitely if set to 0).

4. Acceptable use

Use of the bot must comply with the Discord Developer Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines. Do not use the bot for malicious harassment, unauthorized data harvesting, or spam.

5. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose.
